Deschanel and Pechenik also have a daughter, Elsie Otter. She was born in July 2015.

Pechenik and his wife have also launched two food-focused businesses – The Farm Project, which seeks to connect people with local farmers; and Lettuce Grow, which instructs people how to grow their own herbs and fruits. Unfortunately, Pechenik recently filed for divorce from his wife.
